Paul George Menges

Paul G Menges, age 82, of Allentown, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest of Salisbury Twp., PA.  He was the son of the late Paul G and Mary T (Kucharik) Menges.  He would have been married to Beatrice E (Krobath) for 62 yrs. in May. He was formerly employed by Altemose Fuel Company.  Paul was a member of Cathedral St. Catharine of Siena Catholic Church in Allentown. At Cathedral he was an Usher, member of Men of the Cathedral and volunteered for many activities at church including breakfasts. Paul was a Scout Master of Troop #74 at Cathedral during the 70's and 80's and a Trail Master for 2 Philmont Expeditions. He mentored his 3 sons to obtain the highest rank of Eagle Scout. Paul volunteered for Central Catholic marching band and he was a ticket taker for basketball and football games. He enjoyed golfing every weekend. Paul was awarded numerous trophies for bowling perfect games for the Italian Club League. SURVIVORS wife: Beatrice; sons: Christopher Paul(Nancy) of Syracuse, NY, Andrew Paul (Satomi) of Okinawa Japan and Michael Paul(Annemarie) of Hatfield, PA; sisters: Jeanette (Martin) Nichol of Allentown and Donna Fritz of Allentown and brother: Robert (Barbara) Menges of Allentown, PA; 6 Grandchildren: Steven Menges, Amanda Tomosawa, Mary Kate Menges, Sean Menges, Sarah Menges, Brendan Menges; great grandchildren, Kyrie Paul Tomosawa. He was predeceased by his sister, Maryann Wetzel, brother, Philip, and sister, Karen Roth. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Cathedral St. Catharine of Siena Church, 18th & Turner St, Allentown.
