Alfred J Baranek, 92, of Allentown, passed away January 6, 2019 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, PA. He was the son of the late Fioriana and Katherine (Moncmon) Baranek. Al was married to Bernadine (Riccaboni). Al worked for the post office in the Lehigh Valley for over 40 years. He enjoyed bowling in the post office league where he won many trophies. He loved watching the Phillies and Eagles and sports on TV. Al enjoyed golfing with his friends in his spare time. He served in the Navy during World War II. Survivors: wife: Bernadine; and one son: Christopher of Allentown, PA and one brother: Frederick and wife Marge of Allentown, PA. Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 12:00 pm at St Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave, Allentown, PA 18103. Arrangements by the Robert C Weir Funeral Home.
