Alfred R Wirth, 97, of Allentown, died February 24, 2017, in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown, PA. He was the son of the late August and Bertha (Sucher) Wirth. Alfred was married to Lillian (Duld) Wirth for 62 yrs. He received his BS in Accounting at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He worked as an Internal Revenue Agent for 30 yrs. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Alfred was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus # 528, Life Member of Disabled American Veterans of the Lehigh Valley and a member of American Association of Retired People Allentown Chapter #5415. He also did volunteer work with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance helping low income and elderly people. Survivors: his wife: Lillian and three sons: Robert, Michael and David, husband of Dr. Kathleen Wirth, DVM.
