ANNE L. (SMITH) SECOR, 86, of Allentown died Nov. 4, 2018 in her home in Allentown. She was the wife of the Philip B. Secor to whom she was married for 63 years. Born in Morris, New York, she was the daughter of the late Carl J. and Rigmor (Mortensen) Smith. After graduating from high school, she earned her BA degree from Drew University and began a career as a secretary and office manager for Chubb Insurance Company and Duke University and Dickinson College. Following a ten year experience as "first lady" of Cornell College in Iowa she was a librarian and archivist at a number of colleges and churches. With her husband, she was co-founder of Secor & Associates, a consulting firm in Allentown. Anne is a life-long Episcopalian and has served on the vestries of churches in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. SURVIVORS: Son David and daughter-in-law Eriko Secor of California, Maryland; daughters Nanette Smith of Palmerton, PA and Catherine Johnson Buffalo, New York; grandchildren Sarah, Benjamin and Teddy; sisters Mary Alice Maynes of Albany, New York and Jo wife of Dr Robert E. Howard of Manchester, Massachusetts; cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Rev. Neale A. Secor. FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, Nov 9 at 1:00 PM by the Rev. Canon Maria W. E. Tjeltveit at the Episcopal Church of the Mediator, 1620 W Tuner Street, Allentown followed by reception at the church.
