Audrey Ruth David

Audrey Ruth David, age 90, of Allentown, passed away peacefully onSaturday, September 5, 2026, at Fellowship Manor in Whitehall, PA. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clinton Morse and the late Florence A. (White) Freyenhagen. She was married to the late Dr. Fernando L. David for 15 years.

Audrey enjoyed a lifelong, meaningful career as a Registered Nurse. A devoted Catholic, Audrey was a faithful member of Cathedral St. Catharine of Siena Catholic Church in Allentown. She was a member of the Cathedral & Diocesan Choir for 40 years and cherished the memory of singing & traveling to Rome in 1987 with the Choir when Pope John Paul II celebrated Mass. In 1990 she traveled and sang with the Cathedral Choir throughout Austria for Mozart’s Music Festival. Audrey loved playing the piano at family gatherings and holiday celebrations, was a proud New England Patriots Football fan, loved capturing moments with family and friends with her camera. She delighted in learning and observing the world around her, and had a special place in her heart for Veterans Charities and anything USA. She was also a member of the Golden Agers at Cathedral.

Audrey is survived by her sons: Peter M. David and wife Joslin of Dummerston, VT, and Paul M. David and girlfriend Susan of Walnutport, PA; her daughters: Michelle M. McNamara and husband Paul of Windermere, FL, and Catherine A. David of Rockland, ME; her sister, Nancy L. and husband (George) Webb of Huntington, MA; and her grandchildren: Kurt Hilt of Rockland, ME, Ian David of Macungie, PA, and Lauren David of Fountain Hills, Arizona.

She was predeceased by her brother, James E. Freyenhagen.

A Viewing: on Monday September 14  from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Weir Funeral Home

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday September 14th at 10:30AM at Cathedral St. Catharine of Siena Church, 18 th & Turner St., Allentown,

PA. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Allentown.
