Barbara

Barbara Ann Primiani

Born to John and Margaret Loftus in Rancho Cordova, California, in December 1968, Barbara Ann Primiani lived a life defined by faith, family, and service to others.

Barbara grew up as the child of a member of the United States Air Force (Air Force Brat), living throughout the United States and in Germany, experiences that shaped her adaptability and deep sense of community. She graduated from Burlington City High School in 1987 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trenton State College in 1991. In 1993, she married Anthony Primiani.

After getting married, Barbara spent most of her life in Flemington, New Jersey, where she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony, and their three sons: Noah, who is married to Katherine and together they have two daughters; Zachary, who is married to Teresa and together they have one daughter; and Peter, who is betrothed to Sara. Barbara is also survived by her sister Cathy and brother John.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, Barbara was actively involved in the Church. She held numerous leadership roles at St. Magdalen’s Church and later at St. Catherine’s Church after the family moved to Allentown. Her faith guided her actions and her commitment to serving others.

Barbara’s primary mission in life was her family, and her devotion to them cannot be overstated. She continually sought to make her community a better place and steadfastly supported her husband in his professional endeavors, his service with the Knights of Columbus, and his lifelong pursuit of martial arts. Barbara herself held the title of Sensei in Isshinryu Karate, a reflection of her discipline, strength, and encouragement of others.

She also enjoyed music, reading, camping and found joy in the simple moments spent with those she loved. Barbara will be remembered for her unwavering love, quiet strength, and the example she set through faith, service, and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
