Carl Edward Gearhart, 90, of Allentown, passed away June 28, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Salisbury Twp., PA. He was the son of the late Frank Henry and the late Pricilla (Powell) Gearhart. Carl graduated from the University of Rochester. He was married for 33 years to the late Sylvia (Hunter) Gearhart who passed away in 1998. Carl and Sylvia were the Co-owners of Honey Baked Ham Co. and the former Heavenly Ham in Whitehall, PA. He received his Master's in Music. Carl enjoyed playing piano in the band for weddings and holidays. Carl enjoyed building, including his own planes: the Vari Eze and Glasair which he housed at Queen City Airport in Allentown. He and Sylvia flew the planes to Wisconsin for many shows. Carl designed and built the family home in 1968. And most of all he enjoyed his Tesla. Many of his stories he enjoyed telling were about the Tesla and Elon Musk. Survivors: one daughter: Janis and (John) Stiglich of Quakertown, PA; granddaughter, Jennica and (Jim) Welsh of Lansdale, PA; grandson, John Joseph Stiglich III And Emily of Eagleville, PA and great grandson, John Joseph Stiglich IV of Eagleville, PA Predeceased by his siblings were: George, Paul, William, Nancy and Harry.
