Claire Coogan Stribula, 83, of Allentown, passed away December 7th, 2016, in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late John J. Stribula. Born in Pottsville, PA she was predeceased by her parents Richard Coogan and Marian (Jennings) Coogan, her siblings John R. Coogan and Virginia Coogan Treon. Claire was a member of Cathedral of St.Catharine of Siena. Claire's life passion was community theater, beginning in 1982. She performed in and produced many local productions at venues including Shepherd Hills Dinner Theater, Murder Mysteries at the Ramada and Pennsylvania Playhouse. She was the owner of the Murder Mystery Production company, Coogan & Co. Claire was also employed by The Frederick Group, New Homes Sales Division. Survivors: Sons, John, husband of Debi Burkholder, Michael, husband of Patricia (Dixon) Stribula, all of Allentown. Daughters, Virginia Stribula Marks, wife of Michael Marks of Orleans, MA and Lisa Manescu, Allentown. Grandchildren: Jennifer, wife of Aaron Reid, Emerson, NJ, Nicole and Julia Stribula, Macungie, Tyler, Sarah and Michael Stribula, Allentown, Jane and Abigail Marks, Orleans, MA. Shannon and Tyler Burkholder, Allentown. Great Grandchild, Eden Reid, Emerson, NJ. Services: Visitation Monday, December 12th, at 8:45AM to 10:45 AM in the WEIR FUNERAL HOME, 1802 W. Turner St. Allentown, PA. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM at Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, 1825 W. Turner St., Allentown. Internment will follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery 547 N.
