Daniel P. Sweeney, age 67, of Allentown. His star rose on Nov 16,1955 and our Lord called himhome on Thursday, July 27, 2023. He passed away at St. Luke's Hospital Allentown, PA. Hewas the son of the late Edward J and the late Shirley M (Herman) Sweeney.He was employed by Hotel Bethlehem in Housekeeping and previously Brass Rail on HamiltonSt. and Lehrman and Lehrman Awning Installation. He enjoyed watching Nascar, the Pirates,Steelers and Phillies games and game shows. He was a member of the Cathedral St Catharineof Siena. His Long Time Companion of 40 yrs. was Joanne Ziegenfuss of Freemansburg, PA.Survived by brothers: Timothy husband of Robin Sweeney of Bethlehem, Robert Sweeney ofAllentown and Michael "Shawn" Sweeney of Allentown and Mary Erceg of Riegelsville andniece, Tara Sweeney of Jersey City, NJ, nephew, Fred Sweeney of Bethlehem.Predeceased by his brother William and sister-in-law Anne (Flanagan) Sweeney and sisterKelly.Viewing will be Wednesday, August 2 from 12-1 PM at Robert C Weir Funeral Home, 1802Turner St., Allentown, PA followed by the service at 1:00 PM at Robert C Weir Funeral Home,1802 Turner St., Allentown, PA.
