Doreen L. Kleca

Doreen L. Kleca, 69, of Easton, passed away peacefully November 11,2022 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was in herhome; surrounded by her children. Doreen was born on November 15,1952 in Reading, PA to the late Samuel Bartman and the late Mabel(Frederick) Bartman.Doreen received her LPN from the Muhlenberg Career and TechnologyCenter in Reading. She then went on to earn her RN fromNorthampton Community College, followed by her BSN from CedarCrest College. She worked at Easton Hospital from 1975 to 2001 andthen at St Luke's Hospital in Allentown from 2001-2019 until she retiredas a Nursing Supervisor. Doreen was a respected leader, devotedmentor, and beloved colleague. She truly loved her profession.Throughout her battle, she spent a lot of time talking with newlydiagnosed patients to help answer questions and ease fears.Doreen loved dogs; especially her Italian greyhound, Quags.Doreen is survived by her daughter: Jodi Ervin (Kleca), husband, Russof Jacksonville, FL; and son, Joseph F Kleca, wife Brittany ofAllentown; her brother, Samuel Bartman Sr, wife Sandra of Reading;niece, Shelly Kreiser, husband Keith; nephew Samuel Bartman Jr, wifeHolly; and 3 grandsons: Breck, Parker, and Jackson.Doreen will be remembered for her hard work, caring andcompassionate nature to her patients and staff, and everyone that sheencountered.Family remembrance luncheon date to be determined.Donations in Doreen's name may be made to the Donna Foundation ( https://thedonnafoundation.org/donations/ ) or The Sanctuary at Haaftsvile, PO Box 921, Fogelsville, PA 18051, www.the sanctuarypa.org
