Obituary

Elizabeth M Oranczak, 96, formerly of Allentown passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in Conway, SC. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Lelko) Senchak. She was married to the late Joseph Oranczak. She was a garment worker for many years for Ted-Lo Sportswear Manuf. in Allentown before she retired in 1982 and was employed by Mack Truck in Allentown for a few yrs. Betty was a Vice President for ILGWU for several years, on the Board of Directors of ILGWU Federal Credit Union 1970-1999, President and previously VP and Secretary of Unite Here Association of Retiree Club in Allentown for many years. Betty was a member of Unite-United Needletraders, Industrial & Textile Employees and Ladies Italian Social Club in Allentown for many yrs. She was a member of Cathedral St Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by: two brothers: Francis husband of Dolores Senchak of Myrtle Beach, SC, Michael husband of Mona Senchak of Binghamton, NY, brother in law, Nick husband of Lois Oranczk of Northampton, PA. Predeceased by her son, Rev. Ronald J Oranczak, brothers: John, Stephen, Joseph and Andrew, sister, Anna Weaver, Mary Tomel and Helen Scheetz. Service: A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Friday, October 2 at Cathedral St. Catharine Of Siena Church, 1825 W. Turner St., Allentown, PA. Burial will be in St Lawrence Cemetery/St Fisher Calvary Cemetery in Catasauqua. Call: Friday, October 2 from 9:00 10:15 AM at Robert C Weir Funeral Home, 1802 W. Turner St., Allentown, PA 18104.
