Gary Fye

Gary B. Fye, Age 75, of Allentown, PA, peacefully passed away on November 23, 2025, after losing his battle to dementia. He was one of 7 siblings to Irene (Roth) and Ceferino J. Orta. Gary graduated from Dieruff High School in 1968 and continued his education at Shippensburg University, graduating in 1972. Shortly after, he was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in October, 1978. Afterwards, Gary went to work at Mack Trucks Headquarters, leaving after 10 years to work for himself as a house painter. He took pride in his work and his customers loved him. Gary met the love of his life, Vicky in December, 1983, and they were married on November 11th, 2017. Sadly, Vicky passed in July, 2018. Gary's love for music included Simply Red, The Beatles and The Doobie Brothers, to mention a few, along with his love for all animals, especially his beloved fur babies, The Phillies, Eagles, and Penn State. He is survived by his siblings, Sharon Zehner (Cleo) of Oakwood, GA, Denise Norman (John) of Allentown, Roxanne Jones (Andy) of Kempton, Stephanie Hines (Jeff) off Henniker, NH, Greg Orta of Bethlehem and Wayne Orta of Allentown. He is pre-deceased by his wife and parents. Thank you to the wonderful nurses and aides at the LVHN Hospice Unit for making Gary's last days comfortable. A Celebration of Life, honoring Gary, will be held at the discretion of the Family.
