JoAnne M Mittl, 87, of Allentown, was called to the Lord April 5, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Joseph "Pappy" and the late Emily "Pinky" (Kempf) Smith. She was a member of Cathedral St. Catharine Of Siena Church in Allentown. JoAnne was married to the late Julius T Mittl for 62 yrs. She graduated from Central Catholic and Sacred Heart School of Nursing. JoAnne worked as a Registered Nurse at Western Electric and Liberty Nursing Center in Allentown for over 30 yrs. In the 50's she was Miss Hello Charlie in a beauty pageant at Western Electric. JoAnne liked to bowl (Tuesday league) and played bridge monthly; watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and enjoyed playing the slot machines at the casinos. JoAnne was an avid Eagles football fan and enjoyed watching the games. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter and friend.
