John R Foley, Sr, 90, of Allentown, died June 25, 2016 surrounded by his family in Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Salisbury Twp., PA. He was the son of the late Walter C. and Mary E. (Mulhern) Foley, Sr. He was an executive Vice President of Alpo Pet Foods before he retired. He served during World War II in the Pacific Theatre in the Marine Corps. He was married to the late Gertrude (Dowd) Foley for 46 yrs. John was a member of St Thomas More Catholic Church. His children, grandchildren & great grandchildren were the love of his life and number one priority. He received his greatest joy when surrounded by his family. Survivors: two daughters: Donna Willson wife of Hub of Allentown and Mercedes wife of Leonard Korn of Basking Ridge, NJ, and three sons: Jack husband of Kathleen of Camp Hill, PA, Michael husband of Amy of Fairhope, AL and Kevin husband of Kerry of Allentown. 16 Grandchildren: Matthew DeFazio, Mercedes Newman, Amanda Barber, Jessica Gates, Brian Korn, Gabrielle Korn, Sarah Korn, Julia Korn, Brandon Foley, Caitlin Foley, John Foley, Holly Foley, Connor Foley, Liam Foley, Patrick Foley, and Jack Foley. 8 Great Grandchildren: Ella DeFazio, Gwyn DeFazio, Macy Newman, Lochlan Newman, Madeline Pasquale, Coulson Gates, Sullivan Gates and Oliver Gates. Brother: Walter Foley, Jr of Swarthmore, PA. Predeceased by sisters: Betty Beattie and Jean Giacomucci. Donations:to one's favorite charity.
