John J. Mulligan, 88 years, of Allentown, PA and previously Bethlehem, died July 7, 2023 in his home. He was the son of the late Joseph and the late Anna (Stritz) Mulligan. John was married to Susan (Oh) for 68 years. He was an Army veteran who served 2 tours in the Korean War 10/25/1956 to 2/4/1960. He was also a life member of VFW and American Legion. Survivors: his wife: Susan, daughter, Catherine (Jeff) Cupps of Richmond, VA,2 sisters: Nancy Kushick of Fern Glen, PA, Margaret Borneisen of Wake Forest, NC., 2 brothers: Robert (Bette) Mulligan of Jim Thorpe, PA, Edward (Priscilla) Mulligan of Myrtle Beach, SC, 2 grandchildren: Allison (Basil) Hallberg of Richmond, VA and Emily (Matt) Sak of Baltimore, MD, 2 great grandchildren: Cecilia Hallberg and Reed Hallberg, nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own children. He was predeceased by his 3 brothers: Thomas, Joseph and James and his 2 sisters: Maurita Phillips and Catherine Kroscavage. Services: A Memorial Mass will be Friday, July 14th 11:00 AM at the Cathedral St Catharine of Siena Catholic Church, 18th & Turner Sts., Allentown, Pa 18104. Interment: The following week, July 18, Tuesday, 12:30 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA 17003.
