John Newhard

John W Newhard, 84, of Allentown passed away after a short illness Friday, September 1, 2023 at his home in Allentown. He is the son of the late Weston L and the late Sophie K (Katkowski) Newhard. He was married to Nancy J (Galliano) for 63 yrs. His employment career was in Sales and Marketing as a Vice President of Berks Packing Co. Inc. in Reading. He was also at A & B Meats in Allentown for 21 yrs. and Colonial Provision in Boston, MA. He was the owner of J.W. Newhard and Associates Food brokerage for 23 yrs. before retiring. He received his Associate Degree at Penn State University. John was a former Golf member of Silver Creek Country Club for many years. He passed on his love of golfing to his grandson. He was the President of Alton Park Youth Association where his son's played sports. SURVIVORS wife: Nancy, son: John (wife Kris) of Bethlehem; 3 grandchildren: Victoria Karlick, Ashley Jo Scott, John Newhard and 6 Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by his Son, Michael Newhard, and sister, Patricia Superka.
