Joseph Boyle, 73, of Macungie, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024 with his wife by his side. Joseph was born on May 30 th , 1951 to the late William J and the late Sheila (Fox) Boyle in Merrick, NY. After Joseph graduated from Archbishop Malloy in 1969, he went to study Business at Stonehill College. After graduation with a Masters in Business, he started his first job at Lloyds Bank, kickstarting a 40-year career in banking. In 1978, Joseph met his wife Cristina at a beach in Brazil, a country he fell in love with. Joseph and Cristina went on the have three children, Peter Boyle, Michelle (Lucas) Haughney and Mark (Wongel) Boyle. His greatest joy was his grandchildren Dylan, Nathaniel, Jacob and Alpha as well as anticipating the arrival of his latest granddaughter on the way. In 2013 Joseph retired from Bank Leumi and moved to Pennsylvania to be close to his grandchildren. He spent his days caring for and enjoying his grandchildren. He was a daily presence for his grandsons attending every morning bus stop, school event and sporting event, everyone knew Papa Joe. Papa Joe took every opportunity to see his granddaughter. He loved to hear about his children and grandchildren's travel, adventures, and accomplishments. Joseph was predeceased by William J Boyle, Sheila (Fox) Boyle, Virginia Satkowski, Al Satkowski and Arthur Boyle. He is survived by wife Cristina Boyle; children Peter Boyle, Michelle and Lucas Haughney, Mark and Wongel Boyle, Grandchildren: Dylan, Nathaniel, Jacob and Alpha, Siblings: Timothy, William, John, Therese (Kevin) Coughlin and Patricia (Robert) Antonelle, and he is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Saturday October 19, 2024 from 9:00AM-11:00 AM at Robert C Weir Funeral Home, 1802 Turner St., Allentown, PA. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held Saturday at 11:15 am at Cathedral St. Catharine of Siena Church, 1825 W. Turner St., Allentown. A private Catholic Burial will be at a later date.
