Julie C. Breslin, 89, passed into life peacefully on February 11, 2023 after a brief stay in St Luke'sHospital Allentown. The wife of Philip H. Breslin for 67 years until his passing in 2020, she wasborn in Scranton, PA to the late Helen J. (Schanz) and Alan E. Coddington. A graduate of AshlandHigh School, she was a proud alumna of Cedar Crest College. She and Phil had four children insix years. Between the US Air Force and Bethlehem Steel they moved eleven times in fourteenyears before settling in Bethlehem PA in 1967. She worked at Hess's (mostly for the employeediscount on kid's clothing) and then as a successful realtor with Weichert Realtors and FranDoyle Century 21. Supporting her children in Scouting, she was a Brownie Troop leader and CubScout Den Mother. Active in First Presbyterian Church, she participated in the K Groupprogram, sang in the Chancel Choir, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, andcoordinated the altar flowers for many years. She was also honored for serving over 3000 hoursas a volunteer at St Luke's Hospital Bethlehem. She and Phil enjoyed their membership atNorthampton Country Club playing golf and platform tennis, and league bowling. She madesome of her closest friendships through a bridge club that she participated in for many years.She loved hosting dinners for her family, playing the piano, watching the birds and squirrels ather bird feeder, listening to jazz or big band music, and puzzles of all kinds. While we have herashes and our memories of her, her heart and soul will always be at Beach Haven, Long BeachIsland, NJ. She is survived by her in-laws Thomas and Lucy Breslin and their family, LilaCoddington and her family; children, Mark Breslin, Anne Fisher, Alan (Lisa) Shannon-Breslin andPeter Breslin; grandchildren Thomas Breslin, Matthew (Julie) Breslin, Amy Breslin, Emily(Christopher) Markos, Patrick (Julie) Karlick, Tyler Breslin; great-grandchildren Henry and ElliottMarkos, Camryn Niedzwiadek. She was predeceased by her brother, Alan E. Coddington, Jr andgrandchildren, Nicholas Karlick and Ryan Karlick. Julie's ashes will be interred at the MemorialGarden at First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem, PA at the convenience of the family.
