Obituary

Lorraine F Makos, 91, of Allentown, passed away November 9, 2018 in Phoebe Home in Allentown, PA. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Ellaminta (Nicholas) Zeiner. Lorraine was married to the late Calvin A Makos for 66 years. She worked as an assembler for the former General Electric/Black & Decker in Allentown and Durkee Foods in the Spice Division in Bethlehem. She was an avid cyclist and enjoyed riding on the boardwalk in Atlantic City and Ocean City, NJ. She loved music especially Elvis, Johnny Cash, Eddy Arnold and other country favorites. She was nicknamed "The Director" at Phoebe because she playfully used the hand motions to "direct" the various musicians who played there. Lorraine was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Freemansburg and she was involved in many fundraisers at the church. Family was important to her and she enjoyed being with her grandchildren. SURVIVORS: daughter: Diane wife of Robert Batemarco and their daughter Linda fiance of Jason Serrano and their son Dr Thomas Batemarco of Bayside, NY and son: Glenn Makos husband of Shara Bailey and their daughter Amelie Makos of Maplewood, NJ and their son, Dr Thomas Batemarco of Bayside, NY; sister: Betty wife of the late Harry Fegley of Hellertown, PA. Predeceased by her husband, Calvin and sister, Dorothy Kurtz and 7 other brothers and sisters.
