Margaret C. Prutzman, 98 of Allentown, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Stuart E. Prutzman III, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage prior to his death in 1997. Born in Egypt, PA on January 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Emery and Catherine (Somishka) Neupauer. Margaret worked for Western Electric for 30 years prior to her retirement. She was a long time parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown, PA.
Margaret is survived by her children; David J. Prutzman (Sophann) of Allentown, PA and Andrea J. Fritz of Conshohocken, PA. Daughter-In-Law: Mary L. Prutzman of Allentown, PA. Grandchildren: Tyler J. Prutzman of Bakersfield, CA, Zachary J. Prutzman (Emily) of Philadelphia, PA, John E. Fritz V (Nicole) of Hoboken, NJ, and Meredith C. Fritz of Philadelphia, PA. Great-Granddaughter: Posey J. Prutzman of Philadelphia, PA. Sisters: Bernadine P. Rizzetto (Donald) of Iowa and Rita J. Liberato of Illinois. Nephew: Mark J. Rizzetto (Deborah) of Illinois. Aunt: Cecelia Rivetti of Emmaus, PA. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Anthony F. Liberato.
Margaret will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would also like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Cedar Crest Post Acute for the wonderful care they provided during her time there.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Tuesday, February 10th from 9 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at Robert C. Weir Funeral Home, 18th & Turner Sts., Allentown, PA followed by Mass at 11 A.M at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, 18th & Turner Sts., Allentown, PA. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
