Peggy Engleman

Marguerite H. “Peggy” Engleman, 96, of Allentown, passed away on May 19, 2026, at Fellowship Manor in Whitehall, PA. She was the daughter of the late Leon George Engleman and the late Marie Rose (Handlon) Engleman.

Peggy was employed as an Administrative Assistant at PPL for nearly 40 years until retiring to care for her Mother and Aunt. She was a longtime member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena Catholic Church and the Women’s Alliance. Peggy generously volunteered her time with the Blind Association and Meals on Wheels.

Peggy treasured time spent with her extended family and celebrating all of life’s special holidays and events. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and in Europe, especially Italy. Peggy appreciated musical theater, opera, and attending sporting events and concerts involving the Hendricks and Minor children. She loved watching classic movies and television, and also enjoyed crossword puzzles and game shows.

She is survived by her cousins: Mary Ellen Handlon of Whitehall, Colleen Hendricks and her husband, Paul of Coopersburg, and Rev. Harold Minor and his wife, Julie of Allentown.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Cathedral St. Catharine of Siena Church, 18th & Turner St., Allentown.

Visitation: 8:45–9:45 AM at Robert C. Weir Funeral Home, 1802 Turner St., Allentown, PA.

Interment: Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
