Marie (Hammel) Kelby passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at the age of 81. Daughter of Stephen and Anna Hammel she is survived by: husband Leon, brother Joseph of Williamsburg, VA, sister Loretta Hovanec of Yardley, PA.; mother of five children: Maureen Sabol, Ann Fatzinger, Todd, David and Craig, grandmother to eight grandchildren. Marie was proud of her Catholic heritage starting in Northampton schools. Graduating from Central Catholic High School she excelled in their choral groups and as a cheerleader. Marie's life was her family and friends. When her family matured she sought to express herself as a food demonstrator supervising the local area for Baum Promotions. This was more than a job, it was an opportunity for her to see her friends and acquaintances. She will be greatly missed by all. Services will be MONDAY, Feb 16 at 10:00 AM at Cathedral St Catharine of Siena, 18th and Turner Sts. Allentown, PA 18104. Prior to the service there will be a family greeting in the church foyer at 9:30 AM. Marie will be interred at Plainfield Cemetery in Wind Gap, PA. Following this there will be a social gathering at Shanty on 19th, 613 N 19th ST., Allentown, PA 18104.
