Mary M Bankos, 92, of Allentown, died February 25, 2015 in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. The daughter of the late Francis and the late Agnes (Prescott) McMellon. She was married to the late Victor Bankos for 49 yrs before he died in 1995. In 1972, she graduated from Gwynedd Mercy University. She taught at St Paul's School for 12 yrs and Cathedral School's 4th grade for 12 yrs in Allentown until she retired in 1988. She was a member of Cathedral St. Catharine Of Siena Church in Allentown. Fiercely independent, Mary remained in her home until shortly before her death. She was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast.
