Mary Elizabeth Griffith, 94 of Allentown, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, July 6, 2014. Born in Wilmington, DE she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Curran) Conaty, and the wife of the late Walter A. Griffith. She was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena. Mary worked as a sales associate for many years at two Allentown dress shops; Florence Yingst and Town & Country. Survivors: daughters, Nancy Steckel of Allentown and Peggy wife of John Flinn of Leawood, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Kathy Griffith of Rhode Island; sister, Theresa wife of Robert Penaskovic of Westbury NY; grandchildren, Timothy husband of Betty Steckel, Jana Steckel and Bridget wife of Douglas Linsenman of Allentown, Kelly wife of Robert Ducharme, Christine Griffith, and Debra wife of Alan Benevides of Rhode Island; great-grandchild, Cavan Linsenman of Allentown; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas, Francis and John Conaty, and son Francis W. Griffith. Services: Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25 in the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, 18th & Turner Sts., Allentown is preceded by a visitation from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Friday in Robert C.
