Mary Ann Kusko, age 62, of Center Valley, died at Sacred Heart Assisted Living Facility. Mary Ann was formerly of Allentown. She is the daughter of Mary (Hreshko) Kusko and the late Joseph Kusko. Mary Ann attended Lafayette College and graduated from Penn State University where she received a BA in psychology. She served in student government and played intramural team tennis at both colleges. She was a member of the Freshman Day Organizing Committee at Lafayette. She received her Master's degree in telecommunications. Mary Ann's proudest accomplishment was serving as the past President of the Pro Life Committee at Cathedral. At Cathedral she also enjoyed instructing CCD students in 1st thru 7th grades for 30 years and as a news writer for the Cathedral Vision. She was also a past board member of the Women's Alliance for 16 years. She was a member of the St. Thomas Prayer Group. Mary Ann was a newsletter writer for Sacred Heart Assisted Living by the Creek in Center Valley. Mary Ann was a dedicated fan of Penn State where she was on the board of Penn State in the Alumni Society, the Secretary of the Alumni Chapter of Penn State Lehigh Valley and on the Banquet Committee for 15 years. She was the editor of Free Press/East Penn Edition for 4 years, Editor of Community Life Section in the Quakertown Daily Free Press and a freelance writer for the Morning Call and Eastern PA Business Journal. While working on her Masters and freelance writing, Mary Ann worked in retail at Leh's and C. Leslie Smith. Mary Ann was in Who's Who in American Women. She was a member of the former Cathedral Single's Group and the Spiritual Chairman and a member of International Assoc of Business Communicators and AAUW American Assoc. Univ. Women. Mary will also be remembered for involvement in the Catholic Faith, Penn State enthusiasm, her care and concern for those in her life and for her infectious smile. She is survived by her mother, Mary, brothers: James and wife Cheryl Kusko of Bethlehem, PA and David and wife, Rebecca Massie Kusko of Houston TX; nieces and nephews: Cara Reagan (deceased husband Brian,) Stephanie Cramer (husband Andrew,) Meghan Kusko (husband Michael Shutte) John, Rebecca Elizabeth and Joseph Winfield Kusko; and great - nieces and nephews: Brian, Caleb, and Aurora Reagan, Kyle and Kurt Cramer.
