Mary Santee

Mary Santee, 77, of Allentown, passed away surrounded by her family on August 4, 2022, in NazarethHouse, San Diego, CA. she was the daughter of the late Reed J and the late Florence H (Schuster)Santee. She attended Allentown Central Catholic High School and went on to earn her teaching degreefrom Kutztown University. She enjoyed traveling in the summer, spending vacations with her nieces. Shetaught at Lincoln Middle School for 6 yrs, and Sheckler Elementary School in the Catasauqua SchoolDistrict for 24 yrs. Mary was a member of Cathedral St Catherine Catholic Church in Allentown since1972 until she recently moved to be with her family in San Diego.Survivors: Sisters: Eugenie Meiley of Rockledge, FL and Joan wife of Gerald Rehrig of HuntingtonBeach, CA, and brother: James F of Wilmington, NC 9 Nieces, 7 Grandnieces and 8 Grandnephews.Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Cathedral St. Catharine of SienaCatholic Church, 18 th & Turner Sts., Allentown.Interment: Resurrection Cemetery in Allentown.Donations: Alley Cat Allies and St John Vianney Regional School.
