Robert Edwin Devine, 92, of Upper Macungie Township passed away peacefully at Phoebe Health CareCenter in Allentown on December 12 th , 2022. He was born in Taunton, Massachusetts to Edwin and Alice(McGovern) Devine.Bob joined the Marines and later the Army. While stationed overseas in Germany, he met and marriedLuise Berger. They settled in New York City in 1954 and had two children, Patricia and Daniel. Bobgraduated from Columbia University and later worked for 3M. The family moved to the Lehigh Valley inthe 1960s. He then went on to become a management consultant for several Fortune 500 companies.He was always very active, weightlifting and springboard diving into his 80s. He also enjoyed growing hisown vegetables and was known to take great pride in his tomato plants. He and Luise also loved havingpets, including a number of dachshunds and guinea pigs over the years.Bob is survived by his daughter Patricia, wife of Mark Butler, his son Daniel, husband of Sherry (LaCesa)Devine, his grandchildren Laurie Butler, Christie (Butler), wife of Mike Logan, Carter and Nick LaCesa,and three great-grandsons.
