Rosemary M. Lenahan, 101 of Allentown, PA passed away on June 19, 2018. She was formerly a resident of Lehighton, PA. Rosemary was the wife of Joseph M. Lenahan who died in February of 1973. She was born on January 17, 1917 in East Mauch Chunk, PA and was the eldest of 2 children to Robert P. and M. Loretta (McGee) Brady. She was predeceased by her brother Robert J. Brady in 2014. Rosemary graduated from East Mauch Chunk High School in 1934 and Bethlehem Business College in 1936. She was the Valedictorian of her class. Rosemary put those skills to use initially as a secretary for the F.D.I.C. in Bethlehem, PA. After taking time out to raise her family she returned to the workforce as a medical secretary and subsequently office manager at Palmerton Hospital. She retired after 17 years of service in 1987. She was a member of St Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown, PA. Rosemary is survived by her five children. Joseph J. Lenahan and wife Sylvia of Roswell, GA, James P. Lenahan and wife Frances of Allentown, PA, Rose C. Miller and husband Barry of Slatington, PA, Margaret L. Nester wife of Dr. John D. Nester of Mechanicsburg, PA and Mary E. Lenahan-Durnin wife of the late Robert E. Durnin of Allentown, PA. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Avenue, Allentown, PA. Visitation will be held from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the church. Interment will follow directly after the service at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Lehighton, PA.
